The layer named 'TEXT' has a transparent background and black foreground. You can do what kind of alteration to any of the layers. However, when you belive you've finished the job and you want to save your work under .jpg or .gif format, you will have to flatten the image. That's right. Except under the .psd file format, you can't save layer informations. Ok, this was a quick one ...
Good God! It has two layers! So I guess placing this one after layer manipulation wasn't such a bad idea after all. This is also good news regarding my mental health ... Thank God! I realy bought that crap from the begining ...
